I am running LightBurn 1.7.04 on a Windows 11 laptop controlling a Commarker B4 60watt MOPA laser. The output was a mirror image. The most current manual and the forums all said to go to EDIT-DEVICE-SETTINGS and change the origin point. Under this version of the software there is not an origin option…
The 9 circle grid on the toolbar had absolutely no effect on anything…
In the EDIT-DEVICE SETTINGS tab there is a Galvo 1 section that has a Reverse Direction (negate) option which when selected will allow the image (text) to engrave properly however, whether this is selected or not, the X axis is rotated 90 degrees clockwise on the engraver. (the positive direction of the X axis goes to the right as you look at the machine).
Am I missing something on the settings tab?
Is the new version of the software missing an origin selection?
How can I get the X axis to align in the proper direction?
There’s no user specified origin for a fiber… I understand it’s generally front/left, but there’s really no need to know it in most circumstances.
Does this come with a lens correction file that you can import into Lightburn when you create the device? It should have all your controller and lens information.
Does Commarker supply any instructions for a setup with Lightburn?
Thanks for the input. ComMarker’s documentation leaves a lot to be desired and their support is not much better. I got a good response from another user and from LightBurn support so the problem is now fixed.
