No Z-Axis movement when sending a job to Ruida Laser

Z axis enabled
Relative moves enabled
Optimize Z moves enabled.

Z axis moves up and down correctly when using the move panel.
However the Z axis position information is not updated correctly after move.

Job is sent to the Ruida controller, the machine never moves the z axis.
However the Z axis position information is updated to the position is should be if the job actually ran correct.

I’ve looked through hundreds of posts and haven’t found a working solution.

Depending on a number of imponderable factors, including which Ruida controller you have, the controller may be using the U axis instead of Z, in which case turning on the Enable U axis moves switch could help:

Heck, the whole U/Z axis thing is so imponderable you may as well flip the switch just to see what happens …

Yeah I tried Everything thanks for your help I decided after a day and a half of messing around with the Help people have give me even though has not paid off have decided to send the part back to Amazon tomorrow they have accepted it and I have already purchased a new one which will arrive tomorrow.

Thanks Again Kev

Ps you probably see me on here again pulling my hair out…

Don’t have the enable u option. So no luck there.

Like I said: imponderable.

:person_shrugging:

Is this something other than a switch?

Getting someone elses switch won’t buy you anything, it’s still up to the controller.

Did you test the switch, most have very deep strokes.

I don’t have a Z option …
