Node "break shape at point" no longer working after upgrade to 1.3.01

Since upgrading to version 1.3.01 I am having a difficult time breaking a closed object. For instance, if I create a circle, convert to path, it is nearly impossible to break the shape. All it does is move the start and end point to the node, without actually breaking it. The only way I have had any success is to insert multiple nodes and I can sometimes eventually get it to break at one of the inserted nodes. Even then, it takes 20 or more attempts before it will break. If I have an open object, like a line, I have no problem “breaking” the line at a node in the middle. Same with the circle, once I break it, I have no problem breaking it at other nodes. Is this a bug? How do I go back to an older version?

Okay, now I’m feeling dumb. I have been hitting B B like I did in the old version. That doesn’t work in the new version. Now just a hitting B once does the trick. I wish I had all the HOURS back of trying to break a node with B B!

I console myself by thinking I fixed that problem so hard it will never happen again!

Source: been there, done that, so many times

I like your thinking! And maybe someone else can learn from my blunder.

You’ve never had to hit it twice, so I’m not sure how that habit formed, however the 2nd press should have no effect since that node is already broken. I’ll look to see if there’s a bug there.
