Noob here, how can I get a 3D effect?

Be easy on me folks. Newcomer incoming.

New to the big lasers, a mere mortal graduating from a glow forge.

I have this great .SVG file that engraves a 3D illusion by having varied power on the glow forge but I cannot figure out how to get the same effect or what settings to use on my Mira 9 90w, through LightBurn. Granted I’m new to not just the Mira but obviously LightBurn as well.

So my question is, have anyone in the community experimented with or achieved 3D like engravings on a similar laser to a Mira 9 using LightBurn? If so, how? Variable power? Variable speed?

I did already search the forum and couldn’t quite find an answer so I have made the effort to seek already answered questions.

Appreciate any help.

Can you post a screenshot of what the SVG looks like? And an example of the output from the Glowforge? That will help inform what you may need to do on the LightBurn side.

I’ve got a couple of these images from Glowforge. They seem to be setup for using pass through in the layer… I got the best output using that option.

You need to look at the image… I’ve had a couple that are already dithered, if so scaling them scales the dither…

If that is helpful, definitely. Late here and off to bed now but will update with those details hopefully tomorrow.
