When I try to engrave a very simple text job I get a “Not enough extend space” error. However, if I change settings from Fill to Line it works. Has anyone else had this problem? I don’t see why it would engrave the outline without a problem but not be able to fill the shape?

move the shape away from the left of the workspace.
As Barrie mentioned, it is the automatic overscan setting. The laser head will travel past the extents of your drawing by a variable amount based on the speed to allow the head to accelerate/deccelerate to and from the desired engraving speed before firing the laser. This gives a better quality engraving than if it tried to engrave while still changing speed.
