I got a new/used laptop to work in my shop to read my Onedrive files. Loaded lightburn, it’s not reading/finding the laser, so I did it manually and still shows disconnected. When I unplug the USB from the laser, you hear the activity sound of it connecting/disconnecting.
Why is it not showing READY on my laptop for use?
Also, no port/com showing ONLY AUTO in the controller area in LB.
If you are running Windows, you may need to load the driver at the end of the LightBurn install. 
Move to Ethernet and no more worries. It solves lots of headaches. Good luck
