Nozzle is changing the intended cut path after I start cutting the project
If u observe the the above images…you can find small deviations… I would like to know what might be the problem

Is this related to the Print and Cut post? If so, I will merge the posts.
This happened while I was using the print and cut version…I’m not sure why this happened
Almost looks like a belt jerk while it was doing the arc. What kind of speed are you running?
15mm/sec, 80% power
Seems reasonable, im assuming this is a diode laser because of the 80% power use? I have not tried the print and cut feature yet. I will try it this afternoon to see how it functions. Check belt tension and or belt tensioners i ran into a similar issue last week and it ended up being a worn out bearing on my tensioner.
Okay… I’ll look into it
Are these two jumps that you show here, near the Print and Cut separation line?
Nope…they are far apart
My interpretation of this is binding in the machine.
I believe that your engrave path was in the direction of 1–>2.
The mechanics of the machine are are starting to resist motion to the right at position 2. When the machine overcomes the resistance the engraver head (at 3) lurches in the direction of the arrow and because the behaviour is elastic the machine overshoots and comes back to the intended path at 4.
There is nothing in the file that would cause this behaviour.
Material between the belt and pulley (including a wire) can cause this.
Check your machine for debris on the Belts and binding in the rail and gantry system.
I ran test after test on scrap wood. I set my job up to be done exactly in the same manner. yet this time I get the same thing as is mentioned here. But not on any of my many tests. This software is so inconsistent.
Hi Rick,
I see you have a different machine than the original poster.
Can you tell us which machine you’re having trouble with, what you’re observing and what changed between the successful test and the production failure you experienced?
I’d like to move this to your own thread so that you can get the input you’re looking for.
