I have been using Lightburn for awhile with no problems but recently came across a issue I have never seen before. For some reason it refuses to cut some portions of inner squares on some HO scale windows. Below is the Lightburn pic and what it cuts out as. As you can see it will not cut the top line of two of the window panes. I have tried everything with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Preview shows it cutting everything correctly. The laser just will just not engage during that portion as you say. No tabs so that was not it. I redrew it several times and still no luck. This one is a complete mystery.
I don’t see anything inherently wrong in the design.
I did notice that tabs/bridges were indeed enabled for the blue layer although no actual tabs were defined.
Can you Save Gcode to a file with a .txt extension in Laser window and then upload here? Let’s confirm that the instructions sent to the laser are correct. If so, then there’s something going on with the laser itself.
I don’t see a problem with the gcode. I suspect something is going on with the hardware. Make sure your cables are in good condition and well connected. Check your power supply for voltage.
You may want to run the same test in XCS and LaserGRBL to see if comparative results.
After you said it might be a problem with the laser I updated the firmware thru XCS and now it works fine! So that was weird. Thanks for all your help on this. I really appreciate this.
