Hi guys. I’m very new to laser engraving. I have an Acmer P3 2in1.
It is a great machine, but I have an odd issue.
I have done all the camera alignments and is it precise…for two test burns…and then it misaligned suddenly. No setting changed, no restarts of either machine…just, on the next engrave alignment shifted by about 1\2 inch X and Y.
I offset the camera to make it line up…and this worked. Precision again.
But, refering to the image attached, I have issues. For example, the Home origin now wrong. See Blue arrow.
The bottom red box, according to this, is part of the working area..but it is actually out of bounds.
I can etch in theside green box…but not the top green box.
If I etch anywhere in the rest of the area…and update overlay, it lines up perfectly.
So, my questions really are…how do I shift the work area to make it line up with the actual bed?
And, why did it suddenly shift in the first place?
I literally etched one box…and it worked, the next, it shifted.
I realigned using offset…and apart from the grid no longer aligning…it is stil precise/
