Offset scanning on a fiber laser

hi all, im having a few issues at high speed on my 30w co2 fiber laser, I die a test at 1000 speed with a line interval at 30 per inch and there is definitely an offset with the lines…

my question is, is it possible to do match the lines in way of an an offset function like in a ruida controller?

any help would be awesome guys as im getting blurred text etc and at the moment it unusable

You may need to adjust your Timing/Delay settings:

Did you import the markcfg7 file from your EZCad folder when you first setup your laser in LightBurn? If not, it’s worth trying that first - those settings can be imported into LightBurn, and you may not need to manually adjust them further yourself.

Had the same issue…

Follow @JTR advise and watch the Laser Everything video at the link provided by @JTR.

Reworded the line, it was a bit misleading… the link here is the YouTube site of Laser Everything.

Good luck

thanks for this, ive since found by lasering with a single direction on the laser instead of bi directional I get a nice neat engrave, so its definitely “A scan thing” I can always just opt for a single line scan but its a little slower than I would like…

unfortunately I’m Mac based so don’t have the luxury of getting anything from Ezcad, but Ill definaltey takea look at the video though,

thanks again

Dave

Missed anyone mentioning ezcad… I can’t run it either… I use Ubuntu Linux…

The video posted by @JTR is done with Lightburn… At least that series is toward using Lightburn… It fixed my issue…

It might be that you caught what most users see using EZCad2… Everything for the fiber is in Lightburn…

It is transferable to Lightburn, even when he shows it in EZCrash, at least the settings…

I fixed mine, take a few and try to follow it, if you have difficulties, let us know so we can help.

Thanks again Jack, oops, ive searched so much about this that all the answers blended into one with the mention of Ezcrash cor files etc… sorry about that, I really appreciate you, Tyler and others taking the time to comment too, means a lot to know there’s good eggs out there willing to give a little bit of time to help…

I’ll give this a good going over today to see if I can rectify the issue, i’ll be sure let you know how I get on!

Thanks again
Dave

im not having a lot of luck with results after changing the settings, I also get double images when I use single scan and cross hatch, it seems there’s a misalignment and I just don’t know how to fix it…

Did you get the timings correct so it’s scanning properly?

I had to do that also…

Disappointed it wasn’t done properly from Cloud Ray… they also neglected the steps/rotation for the rotary.

Can you post a photo and your settings for the layer…

I assume it works otherwise?..
