This software bug. This is fiber galvo

Or, perhaps, a change in units from inches to millimeters.

In particular, V 2.0 split the workspace design units from the device units:

Make sure both of them are what you expect:

Never looked at that. Maybe. I reboot and solves problem. But I have to do that for each file.

Which version of LightBurn are you running? We had some issues when we split “control” units and “device” units recently, and sometimes going into the settings window and just cancelling out of it would flip the units. If you grab the 2.0.05 release candidate all of this is fixed. You might have to set the units back to mm/sec once, but it should stay after that.

It’s 04

And says update?

This is not a sentence I understand.

If it’s a Release Candidate, it will always prompt you to upgrade when a newer RC is available:

If it’s the 2.0.04 stable release, then something else is afoot.

It says that it is up to date but .04

When using a stable release, you will be prompted when a new stable release is released. You will not be prompted for Release Candidate (RC) versions when running a ‘Stable Release’ version.

Download our most recent LightBurn v2.0.05 RC4 Release Candidate to check using your gear.

I’m never promoted for new release.

You may not have that feature switched ‘ON’ (green) as shown below. Please confirm.

I have it check for auto updates.

Last major Update I had to download the full trial to update. Now I go to download it again and it says it’s 04 , where is 05 ?

I tried at website for version 05 and

It doesn’t exist,

It does exist, it’s just not a “full” release yet, which is why he provided you a link to it:

All good now.

Thank you very much. Happy holidays
