I had a diode laser installed on Lightburn, and replaced the diode laser with a 60w CO2 - Lightburn will not detect new CO2 LASER. I uninstalled Lightburn and reinstalled thinking a fresh install would help - nope. Cannot locate laser info on Windows Device Manager. The computer dings whenever I plug in or out the USB cable connected. RDWORKS finds laser and processes files. I thought reinstalling would delete the old diode laser - nope.
It is not necessary to delete your diode laser profile, you can add several profiles to different machines and choose which one you need, depending on which laser you run with.
Please note that you must have an extended (DSP) version of LightBurn to be able to use a CO2 laser, information about that and how to set up different lasers in LightBurn can be found in the help section for LightBurn, here on the page on the top right side .
A small tip at the end, a LAN connection is definitely preferable instead of USB connection.
