I have been trying to engrave an image, The image starts to engrave but stops after a few minutes. I can make a file with a few lines of text and it engraves great. I can also make a square and set to fill and it engraves the whole thing. I does not stop on text or filling the square.
Is this a lightburn issue or is it a PC issue? do I need to replace pc?
I also put a box around the image, then removed the image. this way the box is in exact location as the image was. I was able to mark the box, and it will fill it.
Should have started with that. You have a communications problem. The laser can keep up with the zig-zag of a box fill. An image also includes laser power change commands rapid fire. Reseat the USB connections and consider a new USB cable not longer than 10 feet. Ideal is buying a quality shielded USB cable that has a ferrite (big knot) on it.
FWIW - text and Vectors are pretty simple (comparatively) to control vs. images. Vectors have ON/OFF at a set power level.
Images, OTOH, you have to also vary the power level for EACH pinpoint. The engrave speed setting may be too high to allow your control board sufficient time to resolve the commands for each point. Will you please try cutting your engrave speed to 25% , just for funsies??
