Open text shape when using grid array

I’m a beginner and I’m having open text shape problems when using the grid array. I have a simple pencil jig I just created. I’m using cvs file with the grid array to duplicate text across the jig. The test button in the variable text window displays the text correctly on all of the grid positions. However, when I attempt to run a preview only the original will play. I’m receiving an open shape error message for all the other grid positions. I’ve attempt to close the shapes with no luck.

I don’t understand how the text shape tool would generate an open text shape. I’ve used the grid array with text before this and had no issues. This is my first time using the cvs file merge with the grid array. I’m guessing I have something wrong in the grid array settings?

I’ve included my lightburn and cvs file.

I responded to your comment on my YouTube video, but it would be better if you upload the lbrn2 and CSV files here. That way others may be able to help if I can’t.

I changed my YouTube reply pointing you here. I didn’t necessarily want my email address that public.

Thanks Tim! I’ve uploaded my files.

I think I figured it out. I was geting the same results as you with your file as is. I had to redo the array with Auto-Increment Variable text unchecked. Since you only have one line in your CSV file, with auto-increment selected it was looking for the next line in column one. There is no next line.

Thank for the help! That did it. I had the virtual array turned on, so I was able to edit the array to uncheck the Auto-Increment Variable text option.

The array tool is extremely helpful, but a bit challenging for me. I guess that can be said for the software in general. It’s packed with lots of tools that will take me time to figure out. For instance in your pencil jig tube video, I learned how to use 4 or 5 lbrn tools. Thanks again for the video! You do a good job explaining things and your audio clarity is very good. I have hearing issues and the audio clarity is very important.
