Hi! I am using a lightburn for a while, mostly I was doing very slow text engravings, but now I would like to speed it up and use more power from the laser head.
I have Opt Laser 6W on my Lead1010 by openbuilds with three previous black-box controller so I guess it is 8bit.
I just want to make simple text engravings like 2-3-4 mm in height of text and I cannot go faster than 58 mm/s
Does the simple text engraving is so gCODE loaded that it cannot proceed more gCodes line in a sec?
The Lead1010 seems to be a CNC machine. Those mechanics are made for strong force and slow speed. You can’t go at high speeds. 58mm/s is already really fast for a CNC mechanics.
The limit is the mechanics here, not the controller. Or, the controller as well, since the translation of the movement needs so many steps/mm, that you can’t achieve higher steps with a small controller. A typical laser system uses belt-driven mechanics at around 80steps/mm. I guess yours is more like 800 steps/mm.
