In cutting as series of small holes in acrylic, the laser move back and forth over the work piece.
When it reaches the location for a hole, it seems to cut one line at the beginning and then move on to other holes in the same x axis. The cutting setting is low speed and high power. But the non-burning travel is also slow. It seems sub-optimal. Should it not reach the location of the hole, make the number of passes necessary for the hole and then move “Quickly” to the next hole?
Are you using ‘Fill’ or ‘Line’ mode for this? If using ‘Fill’ mode, and you have “Fill all shapes at once”, the movement speed between segments is controlled by the fill speed, unless you have ‘Fast Whitespace’ enabled. If you choose ‘Fill shapes individually’, it will run one item at a time, and move rapidly between the individual shapes.
If you are using ‘Line’ mode, it will rapidly move between shapes.
