I am having an issue with my Ortur 20W LM3 cutting 4.5mm walnut. Why does it cut fine through most of my project but some parts it will not cut all the way through? I did multiple test cuts before starting on the same material until it cut well and then even slowed the speed down a little just to be safe but it still happens. Sometimes even after 3 passes 100% power. I’m careful to make sure the panel is completely flat and secured before starting. Any advide would be appreciated.
Walnut has high variability in density from heart to sap wood and within growth rings.
There is no way to really find an optimum setting for “walnut” as a material category.
Are you using air assist (helps a lot)?
Aside from that, just more power/passes. Going slower will cause more burning and with your fine details, you probably want to minimize that.
