Ortur Laser No Longer Working

Hello All,
I’ve had my Ortur LM 2 Pro for about 5-6 weeks now and just bought the Ortur roller for engraving cups, not yet installed. I did a burn tonight on a cutting board, no issues as usual. I decided to watch the Louisiana Hobby Guy video on how to set up a roller in Lifhtburn and decided to do the step where he said to save a default engraver setting, then I created and saved a roller engraver setting. I abandoned the rest of the setup because I have to figure out how to raise my machine, so I returned to my default setting I saved. Now my laser won’t start any jobs, frame any jobs, nor can I use the “set laser position” option. However, I am able to move in all directions under the move tab, the home button works as normal, and I am able to use the fire button to see the laser. I’ve shut down and reset the laser, lightburn, and even restarted my laptop. Any ideas on what I may have messed up? I am completely lost right now.

What you’re seeing is probably almost certainly the same issue here:

I’m guessing you don’t have the latest firmware installed for your laser. What’s likely happening is that Ortur for some of the lasers used a non-standard value to enable homing of $22=43. But LightBurn puts this to $22=1 when reenabling. Apparently this has been fixed on later firmwares. Try setting $22=43. Then rehome and retest. If that doesn’t work try resetting to default values by issuing in Console: $RST=* That should clear it up in most cases.

Follow the remediation process there and you should be okay.

I also suggest you update your firmware.

I don’t get why, but seems like it worked. And now when I regime, the X:Y coords read 0:0. Seems all is right in the world. Thanks so much, I spend at least 2 hours searching for an answer.
