I have been using Light Burn for 2 years now. When I renewed the liceance a problem emerged. I can use lightbur tools to make text or squares, circles. I can put the laser anywere I want. When I import a picture, it will not start and gives me the error message as in the picture. Lightburn even has the preview work. It telss me how long it will take. But when I hit start the error comes up. I did reset as in the error message. I cannot tell if it finds my product under devices, which may be the problem.

I would try File> open pref folder and pick a pref. before your update.
Not sure what you mean. I can open older lightburn files and they seem to work. But I cannot used imported pics, and even if I save them as a lightburn project and use them later.
Show a screen shot of the project without the preview window and one of your cut settings.
