Ortur LM2 Pro X-axis jumping

I have a Ortur LM2 Pro.
The x axis continually shifts like the belt is slipping. This happened awhile ago and tightening the belt fixed the issue. The issue is now persistent and altering the belt tension doesn’t seem to fix it. The x-axis also doesn’t sound as smooth and the y axis when moving, almost sounds like there is a bit of a grit. Anny suggestions on what I need to check? I pulled the belt off and everything seemed smooth which makes me think it could be the belt but nothing seems visually wrong with it.

Could you verify that the 2 set screws that hold the sproket to the Motor shaft are fully tight? It should be a 2mm Allen key that was provided with machine

Hi Gil,
Thanks for the response. That could have been it. I ended up pulling the belt off and pulling the stepper motor apart. I used some PTFE lubricant on the bearings and other moving parts but all back together tight and is working as expected now.
