I have an ortur laser master 2 pro, and have been doing great with it for a but two months. I finally decided to try out the rotary attachment and watched numerous videos on how to add it including saving my original device settings. It wouldn’t line up properly and it was getting Kate so I reverted to my normal settings to do one final job and then go to bed, however now the home position reads I’m the negatives. I’m pulling my hair out because I have no idea how to fix it, and the only forum post about it my exact issue has no answers.
When I try to run a job or frame anything it just tells me G-code motion target exceeds machine travel.
You have to turn rotary off… turn laser off … close lightburn…. Turn on laser open lightburn
Is there a way to “factory reset” lightburn?
I found a command that fixed the issue. "G10 L2 P1 X-400 Y-400.
Then tried setting up the rotary again from scratch. Ran into the exact same issues. Repeated the code, and it seems to be back to normal but I have the lingering feeling something is still off.
On the other hand, why on earth can’t I figure out this rotary?! I seem to be doing everything correctly, but my X-axis just moves far right untilnit hits the wall, and then grinds which brings a tear to my eye everytime lol. The steps I’m doing are as follows.
- Default settings are on. Move laser to origin which for me is dead center of the work area.
- Power off laser, disconnect Y-axis and connect rotary tool to it.
- Power on laser and load “rotary settings” file.
- Crap hits the fan. I try and send it to a location and it goes crazy saying I am out of the work area.
- Hit get position just to see I am in “negative coordinates” again.
- Rinse and repeat.
I’m sure I’m missing something painstaking simple, but I just can’t can’t the life of me figure it out.
Thanks for any and all of your advice.
