I keep getting out of bounds warning. when I frame txt is well within the area I am engraving.
any ideas?
It would make it much easier to troubleshoot if there was more documentation, pictures of what you are trying to do and the settings for it.
But most often it is too high a speed and or placement of the objects in relation to the outer edges of the machine bed that produces this error.
spd is 4200 per is 45. when I frame it is centered left to right and up and down. when I engrave it I get out of bounds warning & when I engrave the writing is shifted to the left.
What does your preview show?
mm/s ? - mm/min??
… try to send your file up here
mm/s. image is on the centre of the screen on preview
This is what your settings look like on my machine. If I halve the speed, the transport path is still half a meter too long…
(The green line is my machine bed)
so how do I fix this? what did I do to cause this problem and why did it shift the word to the left?
The first thing you need to do is change your speed to mm/min. 4,200 mm/s = 252,000 mm/min.
Answer the questions asked and provide the information requested, then we have a real chance of helping.
I doubled check my settings it is mm/m.
This corresponds to 70 mm/s and is therefore definitely not the cause of the out of bounds message.
Please post a screenshot of your entire Lightburn screen with your project loaded and the Cuts/Layers Panel and Laser Panel visible. Also post a screenshot of the Settings Window (Gears icon) with the Units and Grids tab visible and post a screenshot of the Device Settings Window.
Post a photo of your workpiece placed on your laser bed.
