Overburn at start of etch/cut

I have an Ortur LM2 "20"W which has been working great, but I’ve noticed that when cutting I get slight scorching/overburn on the first 1mm of a line.

I read on a facebook group that this would be due to the laser moving to the co-ordinates, stopping, firing, then starting to move again. Which makes sense, the scorch coming from it being stationary for a short period of time before moving for the cut to start. The solution was apparently a setting that told the laser to get up to speed first and then to fire.

However, I cannot for the life of me find that again, or find it independently elsewhere. Did I make this up? Is this an available setting or is there another solution?

Thanks

Can you share a .lbrn file where this is happening?

For fills, you can adjust in the ‘Cut Settings Editor’ window, look for ‘Overscanning’ to do exactly what you describe.

Is this what you are observing?
