Overcut setting in the 1.0.04 Lightburn version does not produces effect if watching the preview path.
The cut still start end finish in the same point, no overcutting.
Is this a common release issue?

Does the file produce correctly when run, or is there an issue with the output when produced? Which OS are you using?
The cut is done correctly in the machine with the overcut set.
Anyway I think it should be visible in the preview window, too to better decide how to do…

Sorry, The OS is Windows 10 64bit.
Some options available through the LightBurn UI are controller-based functions and not displayed in ‘Preview’ at this time.
The ‘Preview’ is basically “another laser”, so it has to handle all these calculations by itself. We might change that at some point, but for now, this is how it currently works.
