Well unless a miracle happens I’m shot as far as launching anything for Valentines Day. This issue I’m having that is not apparently within the realm of this discussion board to advise on has ruined my chances for an income stream from custom portraits this season. Oh well.
But can I please pay you to diagnose your software or something? It’s like stucki is stuck on stupid and I have a 5k piece of junk sitting here now that I even made omtech replace for no reason. Can I pay for actual support please? If not so be it. If so, how???
I have spent six months teaching myself how to make beautiful smooth engravings on my omtech 50w Galvo. All of a sudden they’re rough, ugly compared to before. I even had Omtech replace the laser but it’s exactly the same. I can do smooth colored lettering on stainless but my portraits are rough and not shiny as before. Not even close. It’s like something was changed. I’ve restored backups of my machine from September, redone my machine, replace my machine. This is something on a level that has me throwing my hands in the air. And I’ve been a sheetmetal laser programmer for 30 years.
Ok, thank you for enlightenment, now I also know what you’re up and are fighting with.
Unfortunately, fiber laser is not something I can contribute I have none and no experience or knowledge of this type machine. But isn’t there any of the experts here with fiber lases that will help?
Go back over everything, one thing at a time. If I understand you correctly:
1.) It worked perfectly with Lightburn
2.) It quit working perfectly with Lightburn
3.) The laser was replaced
4.) It still doesn’t work perfectly with Lightburn.
If above is correct, sounds like a setting or parameter or methodology changed between 1 and 2 before you had your laser replaced. Was there an LB update between 1 and 2? New lens? New focus stick? Added hardware?
You can roll back to the version and load a preference file if you have a good idea of date where 2 occurred.
Good luck.
Methodology didn’t change. Not one bit.
I can’t pinpoint it. I have to admit the only thing I can think of is to actually downgrade Lightburn and see if that resolves my issues. Oh my poor engravings. The bottom right is smooth as a baby’s bottom. The other two are rough and angle dependent for the most part.
