I’m doing a project with 3mm baltic birch. I have my power and speed settings correct. The pass count is set to 1. The project contains slots in the shaped piece., both on the same layer. The slots are done in one pass. But, cutout of the shape is making 2 passes .
I don’t understand.

Select all → Edit → Delete duplicated shapes
