I went to cut out a hexagon shape earlier. The shape was correct in Lightburn when when i sent it to the laser, it seemed to squish it some. It should have cut even and i am not sure why or what happened. This is not the first time it has done it. I believe it may be a software setting somewhere.
Have you tried cutting simple square, e.g. 40mm x 40mm, and measuring it with calipers making sure dimensions match when the piece is cut out? If the dimensions do not match, please search on youtube “lightburn axis calibration”, and calibrate your x and y axis.
I tried to cut out a square. 30mmx30mm. Lightburn cut it 40mmx30mm rectangle It just started doing this. EVERYTHING is squished from the top down.
Did you happen to accidently turn on ROTARY support?
OMG…I..am…a..dum..dum.
Hey, it happens to me a lot. You are not the first and there will be many many more to follow you on your path of DOH!
Have a great day, and pass on some knowledge when you can (you don’t have to admit HOW you learned it
