Pause for user action

In my 3D printer I can add to the GCODE a “pause” to allow me to do something (like add an insert inside the model).

Does Lightburn have a way to pause between layers?

Use case - cutting pages in a book (whilst still bound) - and the pause would be to allow waste to be removed between layers so not cutting through more and more pages… if that makes sense.

The pause button does work for this to some degree, but means I have to watch the cut like a hawk for the entire cut.

ps - sorry for 2 q’s on the go at once.

I think I understand your question…

If you are trying to do a task then do another task

just put each task on a different color layer and turn on the the 1st
and all others off

the turn off the 1st layer and turn on the next and run that..

keep doing each layer individually…

If you have to do a given item you want to do both Line and Engrave
just duplicate on different layers and process as needed…

Hope that was where you were going…

DOH!!!

That is exactly the function was aiming for. Seems obvious now.

Thank you.

Excellent…

Most people don’t know about a right click on the output in the cuts/layers. You have a few more options there.

I use Invert enabled cut layer all the time… Much faster than clicking on each one and much less error prone.

Just an FYI
