Pause/Resume button stopped working

This is my first posting. I hope that it’s in the correct place.

Hi,
I am a relative Newbie and following a steep learning curve.
I had a 15W laser built for me in the UK, and I have found it is based on a Chinese 3018 machine.
Supplied without instructions the fan on the diode housing packed up overheated and damaged the laser.
This has now been replaced, but I am wary of overheating the unit again.
I have had a temperature sensor fitted to the outside of the diode housing which I am able to monitor.
I had to re-install the GRBL, and have as follows:

Grbl 1.1h [’$’ for help]
[MSG:’$H’|’$X’ to unlock]
ok
[MSG:Caution: Unlocked]
ok

As you can see, I am using the latest Grbl 1.1h, with the latest Lightburn version on a windows 10 Laptop dedicated for the laser.

My Problem.
Not wishing to overheat the diode again, I have been pausing the cut when a temperature of 30 deg C is reached.
Since the last upgrade the Pause/Resume button has been very temperamental, often not resuming after a 5 minute rest.
I notice from other conversations that screen savers have been mentioned, mine is off.

Can anyone suggest what I can do to restore the Pause/Resume button, and also what the temperature of the outside of the laser diode unit should run at.

Many thanks in advance

The pause locking up is a known issue, and has been fixed for the next release (0.9.15).

The outside temperature of the cooling housing isn’t going to tell you much - the important thing is the temperature of the diode itself.
