Pc Screen Flickering when usb connect with engraver

Hi everyone. I’m new also I’m newbie at engraving hobby. I apologize in advance if I make a mistake. My question is about usb connection. My pc, inline duct fan and the engraver (algolaser alpha mk2) they are all plugged into the same extension cord. PC is connected with engraver via usb. Whenever I worked on projects, the screen would start flickering almost every 10 minutes. Then today the screen turned out like in the photo. I had to restart the pc. So ıs this about usb cable, or un grounded electricity lines or using all devices in same cord ? Has anyone else experienced the same thing, or does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for your interest.

That is not a screen. it is just an image. Why not show the monitor too? Sorry, I do not see the embedded numbers @fred_dot_u sees. Guess I am not in the top 2% of good vision. :face_with_bags_under_eyes:

My guess: the laptop (or monitor) is dying. The pattern resembles the random bits found in uninitalized memory.

It has nothing to do with USB connections or anything out in the laser.

the image is known as a random-dot stereogram. Great fun during the latter part of the last century, about the eighties or so. If you are able to keep your eyes focused and cause them to rotate outward, each eye sees a different image, generating a three-dimensional representation of the source image. It takes some practice and some people never can manage it.

If the random bits in video memory create dot stereograms, that’s one sophisticated monitor !

I know what it is, and I lied. I did see the numbers. My version is to “Look thru the image as if you are focusing on something distant.”

Hello again. Sorry for misunderstanding. My screen turned out like this colorful noise texture. I forgot take a photo so ı got photo form google. Flickering occured when USB connected other than there is no problem.

@fred_dot_u and MikeyH never heard this. And I have color blind, I didnt notice it, thank you

@ednisley I suspect ıts the laser. Because neither screen nor PC doesn’t give error until today but it all started with engraving adventure. I am going double check with my brothers screen. Thank you

@bnmoxs , I’m color blind too, red/green, but it’s the dot placement that matters.

thanks for the chuckle. I can’t believe that someone would lie on the internet.
A friend gave me a book of these things last century, since he knew I was not able to view them. It suggested to place the image on one’s nose, which causes the eyes to de-focus and relax. Slowly moving the image (or head) away without trying to focus keeps the eyes spread and soon the magic image appears. It’s more difficult with a computer and mine has nose dots on the screen as well. A little alcohol cleans away the ick.

It’s really a hoot that the image you selected for screen noise just happened to have the secret code embedded.
