Please help, Lightburn does not recognise my D1 laser

I just bought a laser, downloaded LightBurn and started my trial. I’ve never used a laser before, so excuse me if I ask too many questions. I have searched this site for an answer but couldn’t find one.

I have an XTool D1 and have the latest version of LightBurn. I’m running a Mac with IOS Mojave 10.14.6

I open LightBurn, then I press the “Devices” button. Then I press the “Find My Laser” button. The “Be sure your device is connected via USB, and click next” appears, it was, and I clicked “Next”. The problem is LightBurn starts to look for my laser, then after the progress bar gets about 25% of the way it disappears. I can’t even look around to see it’s features because if I don’t choose a machine it quits. I appreciate any help you can give me.

xTool has a pretty good web page written for LB setup. Try this. When you get the wizard see if you can import a device and use the one provided on the site. If you cannot then just create any dummy device.

You’ll need to make sure you’re on the latest D1 firmware for it to work with LB but this is documented on the site:
