What are the settings for engraving plexiglass on an Alpha 22W Algo Laser?
There are none. You cannot engrave plexiglass with a visible light diode laser. The light just goes through instead of being absorbed.
What you can do is paint the surface with black acrylic paint and use that to create heat at the surface. This will leave a marking, but you will have to experiment to get the results you want.
i have had some success by poting a couple of layers of black heavr paper under the plexiglass. You focus on the black paper.
- Blue Diode — 400-500 nm: interacts with dark-colored materials such as wood, veg-tan leather, and black acrylic, but struggles with light-colored or transparent materials. Can’t interact with metals or glass. Produces dark engravings that are great for photos and images.

A 22W diode is the wrong wavelength for clear plexiglass/acrylic — the beam mostly passes through it rather than being absorbed, so there may not be useful settings.
For dark, opaque, painted, or masked acrylic, run Laser Tools → Material Test and test a range of speeds and powers. Start low power / higher speed, then increase power until you get the mark you want.
I put some black cardboard under the plexiglass,focused on the cardboard and did a trial. worked

Putting the paper under the acrylic is not really different than putting it on top or using a coating, another indirect method of engraving.
I prefer it to have an open debris path away from the laser. Works on the surface, but is kind of a problem is you hold it between two object where it can’t really breath of get rid of the debris.
