Plywood from store to use with Lightburn

  1. I was wondering can you find any plywood to CUT in store like HomeDepot, Manards, other hardware store?

its seems like almost all the ply (even Birch) I look at seem to have Formaldehyde in the glue and other chemicals, that sticks the ply layer together and burning that can be harmful as I understand it

  1. Are the only options we have in store or online that say “laser safe”?

  2. So are there any options that will be Safe from hardware stores like this?

  3. What am I looking for when I buy from stores like this in the safety data sheet, I am at a loss?

Thank for any help!!

You can cut formaldehyde glues, just take appropriate precautions.

If at all possible, go visit a specialty wood store. You’ll find the pricing and quality to be well worth the trip, otherwise, you can source laser wood online as well.
