Preview in Lightburn in horrible dither mode. Black blob. I’ll zoom in, okay. But in this case, I don’t see the whole picture. A normal preview in Lightburn would be nice.

What would you consider “a normal preview”?
The preview here is showing you the cutting path, nothing more. It’s to let you verify that the settings you’ve chosen are correct and that the laser is traveling where you intend. It’s not meant to be a simulation of the final product on your material, because there’s no way for us to know what the end result will actually look like on your material, machine, power settings, etc.
