Okay, so 5 seconds isn’t long, but before v1.1 it used to appear ‘instantly’. Is anybody else seeing the same thing? Is there a setting that affects the preview window time to appear?
Do you have a particularly complex design? Lots of nodes or a particularly large image?
No, I get the same delay with a simple rectangle
I’ve seen this a couple of times and i’d like to get some more information on this.
What kind of computer are you running,
Which operating System?
Are you connected to the Ruida by Ethernet or USB in this case.
My ‘design’ pc is an i7 home-build computer running Win 10. In the workshop I have the ‘laser’ pc, which is an i5 laptop connected to the Ruida controller via Ethernet. They are both running LightBurn v1.1.03
Curiously, the laptop doesn’t have a delay before the Preview window appears now, although I would swear it did just after the upgrade to v1.1.
Could the response from the preview window be related to the complexity of the project you’re working on?
For the sake of interest, would you mind drawing a single small unfilled square on each computer with LightBurn and previewing it?
My computer doesn’t have a significant delay but i haven’t done huge calculation intensive projects yet either.
I have tried a small (25x25mm) unfilled rectangle and the preview delay is the same.
I re-booted the pc and checked that Windows 10 and my display driver, are up to date.
I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB display card fitted.
I have used this setup with LightBurn for the last 18 months and it has worked flawlessly. I guess I could try reverting back to a pre v1.1 copy of LightBurn, but I don’t know if that’s wise. I don’t want to screw up this install as I depend on it for my business.
I have enough info to attempt an escalation.
Let me see what I can discover.
