New to LightBurn and utilizing the Print and Cut feature on an oversized project. When setting my P&C target registration marks. Can it be an issue if I jog with the machine console ? Or do I need to only jog with LightBurn software?
That works fine, because LightBurn reads the current XY position from the controller when you set the target.
What doesn’t work is shoving the laser head around by hand, which is basically impossible in a big CO₂ laser (so you’re not doing that) and absurdly easy with tabletop diode lasers (so everyone does it). The controllers know where the head is by homing it when the power goes on, then adding up all the motions they send out, so any extra hand-powered motion isn’t included.
