Print & Cut Problem

Hi all,
My first time trying the “Print and Cut” and I have run into a problem and I can’t work out what’s wrong.

So what’s happening is I cut the first section of a 3 part job,
then I set the marks up for second sections, I hit preview and nothing is showing to cut, The layers to be cut are turned on but its not working.
only thing its burning is the cross hair markers.
am I missing something???

Perhaps Ignore out of bound shapes if possible is turned on.

If so, then because Cut selected shapes is off, anything mapped outside the machine boundaries by Print and Cut will be ignored.

Although I see the targets, I don’t see the notification in the lower right corner saying Print and Cut is active, which requires hitting Alt-3 or Alt-4 after setting the targets. It may have vanished due to other messages, but make sure it’s enabled.

The targets seem perilously close to the machine borders. Putting targets on the corners / cusps of the shapes well inside the borders may help. Check the PnC doc for some suggestions

If those don’t move you further along, upload the *.lbrn2 file so we can look over your shoulder.

Thanks ednisley
I had another go at it today, double checked everything and it worked.
I don’t know what I did different.

Just having a bit of a problem lining the laser up now.
I have the falcon2 and I can’t see the laser when you fire it to line up the cross hair markers because of the shroud around the laser and if you rise the laser a bit to see it the laser is - horizonal line.

I hate it when that happens, because something else will happen next time. :frowning:

If the material will withstand more power, you can crank up the power used during framing / alignment:

Which is obviously a tradeoff between enough power to see while framing and too much power at any one point.

Good hunting …
