I have ender 3 Neo with falcon 10w module kit. It worked two days ago but today it had issues, so I deleted it off lightburn and then re added it after it refused to detect. Issue now is I got it detected again and working almost. Every time it homes it tries to run out the Y axis but never stops till it errors out
Hi Robert, I’m not familiar with those printers so have a couple of questions just to start the ball rolling and hopefully some other members will chip in…
-does the printer successfully run the auto-home cycle on it’s own?
-in Edit > Device Settings, make sure Origin is at front left, and try turning off “auto-home on startup” (not sure if that particular controller will know what to do with ‘$H’?).
-With the machine still in its front-left home position, try entering G92 X0 Y0 into the LightBurn console, and then try again with your job.
Copy and paste back here any information or error messages you see in the LightBurn console window as the LightBurn connects to the controller.
It did auto home fine two days ago. Like first set up it worked great.
I did turn off auto home, its front left, although some reason its inverted now, I deleted the lazer and set up a new one, and even did the firmware update kind hoping its firmware update issue. But I figured out I was just on wrong COM for it. But I set it up same way front left home, 300x300 wich is the build space, lazer can hit all that fine.
Its just when it goes to edges it just keeps running the motors acting like there is zero stopper making a horrible noise as it trys to fight it.
I got jobs to work by starting from user origin, and seting that up manually but its just trial and error to get that like I did a 10x10 canvas etched into the pain. Amazing results but yeah it was fun setting that up as it ignored stoppers so till got origin right it would go out bounds and grind while try to do a frame cycle to make sure it was lined up right I got classes all day I getting so I can’t mess with this again till tomorrow it will be night time and my roommate gets up at 2am so that noise gonna wake her up and upset her as its near her wall lol.
Hi Robert,
What is inverted? a test job you output? (is is upside down/backwards/both?) also please confirm - does the printer’s auto-home (as run directly from the printer controls) work?
After the machine is homed to front left go to the Move window in LightBurn and click on “Get Position” do you see x0 y0?
Using “Move to position” in the Move window;
Go to x50 y0 what happens?
Go to x50 y50 what happens?
If the above commands work as expected try and go to X300, Y300 - hopefully that will also work without hitting the sides?
