Problem in the Move window

Hello. I am using the LightBurn program (I have purchased a license). So far, there has been no problem with the software. The program controls the Sculpfun S9 plotter. Currently, I have a problem, which is that in the Move window, clicking the arrows next to the Home button for a set distance value, the head correctly moves up and down. On the other hand, clicking the right-left arrows (!) Always moves to the right ONLY. This was not the case before. By following the same steps in the LaserGRBL program, this problem does not exist. Hence the suspicion that some option has been triggered in LightBurn causing the problem. I cannot fix this problem. Please help.

Do you get any feedback in the console window? I suspect that you are trying to move into negative space, which does not work.
Could you post a screenshot of the move window and your firmware settings? (Output of $$ in the console)

Here is the screenshot:

okay

I will repeat no less: in the LaserGRBL program, the device works properly. It moves by the set value in each direction. The only problem I have is in the Move window in LightBurn. Here it correctly moves up and down. Sides to the sides are obviously inverted.

I notice that after pasting the plotter screenshot after translating it in google, a wrong image is created. I will enter the values below manually:

ok

The above is the correct information from the plotter.

OK, I found the cause. I actually had to change the $ 3 line from 0 to 1 and it now works fine. Question: how did it change. Dwarfs, gnomes :).

Thanks for the hints.

This actually doesn’t make sense that this would have solved the issue. LightBurn and LaserGRBL both would have shared the same setting and you said it worked in LaserGRBL.

Have you added homing switches to your laser?

I agree. It makes little sense. In my free time, I run the plotter in the evenings. It is an amateur job. I am just learning this process myself. I use hints on forums related to this topic. Recently, dragoncut.de has been very helpful. On this basis, I started the machine. The last thing I did was burn on the traffic jam where the last pass was reversed text. The work turned out well. I turned off the machine and the next day after starting it up, I found the described non-compliance. I am comparing the work of the laser between the programs LaserGRBL and LightBurn. In the first, everything works fine, in the second, there is a problem. After changing From the last information, the problem in LightBurn was gone and interestingly it did not affect the work in LaserGRBL. Maybe it’s not very professional, but for me the problem has been solved. The machine is working properly.

That’s the oddest thing. Can’t get my head around it. Don’t understand how the previous setting could have caused the symptom or how the new setting isn’t messing up your X-axis.

Either way, glad it’s working for you. Just wish it were more straightforward.
