computer updated, Windows 11Home now lightburn will not run, "there was a problem sending data to the laser. the machine may be busy or paused. Can anyone please help
I have the same problem with my MacBook Air. Please help!
This is usually caused by a computer not being connected to the laser engraver, or another piece of software hanging on to the USB port and not allowing LightBurn to communicate with it . If you’re working with an xTool D1 Pro engraver, please confirm that XCS has shut down properly then reconnect with LightBurn.
I have tried, but I will try to un-install XCS and then try lightburn. This happened after a windows update
Is your laser showing up in device manager?
it is showing in com port
Make sure any other programs are disconnected and the try connecting to that com port.
I tried everything, I think it had something to do with the windows update, because it worked fine until then
Don’t know if you can roll back an update. Maybe you have a restore point.
Thank you for your help
I use a MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.1.2. I can run from the computer and send files to run on the Ruida controller but when I try to send or run another I get the same message you’re seeing. The workaround is annoying but works. Unplug the USB-C cable and plug it back in and it works again…once.
Any ideas on how to clear whatever cache or other function without physically unplugging would be appreciated.
