I have a Neje 2s plus laser. I have putthe work area into the software, But the software tells me that the object is out of the working area even though I can see it is not. If I proceed to cut usually works. What have I done wrong?

There are a few things, what your problem is hard to comment on without more information.
If your image is scanning it could run over the edge of the work area when it’s trying to get up to speed. That usually doesn’t show up in the framing operation.
Run it through preview and enable show transversal moves. Movements of the head without lasing. are done in red.
