Product drawing help

Hi Guys ,

so I have been given a product from my customer he wants me to make to the exact ,
there are a lot ! of holes and corners than need to be precise as they interlock together . this has got me thinking is there a product or software that can scan a real life image and convert it into a dxf file exactly ?

I might be really thick here so excuse me but only recently got into this

I use Vector Magic.

Can your customer supply a drawing of the product in any format - say STEP, IGES, SVG, etc.? Many 3D CAD formats can be easily converted to DXF profiles of the face that will be cut.
