Whats up with the program stopping during a job? PC is not going into hibernation or sleep mode. Program just stops. need to use $X to get it to respond, I know otheres have been having this issue since 1.04 version also
I’m not familiar with your brand laser or the controller you have. Which flavor of Lightburn do you have? GRBL or DSP?
Also how do you connect your computer and laser? USB, ethernet cable or somehow else?
When running this job (by “job” in am referring to a specific design being cut and/or etched/engraved) that stops in the middle, does it always stop in the middle? i.e it has never run to completion.
Does it always stop at the same point or close to it?
Is it only this specific job this happens with or other jobs also?
Have you ever had a job run to completion?
If yes, was if after upgrading to v1.0xx or only before upgrading? Do you know what version you were using when jobs were completing correctly?

Thanks for the replies, I am using the 32bit with Tim Rothmans board, most of the engravings complete. I have only had maybe 2 out of 10 that stop unexpectadley. It has only stopped like this with the 1.0.04 version, not before. the Laser board is connected to the pc with a good quality usb cable.
Is this a K40 replacement board or a controller for a diode laser?
Is the computer you are using Windows or a Mac?
