Hi! Is it possible to have multiple “pages” in a project?
For example:
-I need 3 shapes to cut, dont fit all at the same time, so I have to make 3 files of Lightburn. Instead, I could have only one file, with one shape on each page.
-A project needs multiple parts in different thickness. So I can arrange the parts of one thickness on one page, and other thickness on other page.
Similar to CorelDraw pages, or Excel pages. Same project, same file with several pages instead of multiple files.
Its very annoying to open and close files to make modifications, while I could be switching pages instead.
Im asking if its possible, or otherwise ask for a future implementation if possible.
Regards!
LightBurn does not support pages within a project. However, you can simply open multiple LightBurn instances and toggle between those instances with your different projects open in each.
There’s no practical limit on the overall workspace size, so I zoom out and distribute different layouts / materials / whatever around the actual machine platform (the gridded section). Select the parts to work on, drag 'em to the platform, and use Cut selected graphics to burn only those parts.
This is not quite as nice as having separate pages with everything laid out on the same platform, but it does keep all the various pieces in one file with all their cut settings.
If the project is fairly simple, putting each finished part on a different Layer, and turning layers off and on with the Show or Output switches might be a smooth way to do this all in one file.
The Sublayers would allow you to complete several different processes with the laser engraver for each component.
