A small PSA, an object’s center in lightburn isn’t located at its center. Its located at its center in the x direction, and its bottom in the y direction. See here for a picture of what I mean. This has definitely messed up my ability to align things until I realized what was happening…
@Parsec is spot on, based on the picture you linked, the steps to get what you want would be:
(1) select and center the parts together, using the Align Centers tool
(2) use the 9-dot control to change the selection’s anchor point to the center
(3) now you can move the selection relative to that anchor point.

I had no idea the rotational center affected the positional center and could make things be offset. Thanks. I’ll close the suggestion post I linked to.
