I have for example
50 - 70 squares of different sizes, each with a unique dimension
Is it possible to use a tool to arrange them on the smallest possible area while maintaining an ideal gap of 1.5–2 mm
between them?

Align & Distribute / Auto Arrange / Nesting / SVGNest / Nest ?
