I think I’ve been searching and testing for far too long.
I understand that I can call up text from a CSV file by using %# but I’m at a loss as to how to generate a series of QR Codes from a CSV file. This detail doesn’t appear to be listed in the LightburnDoc and I can’t find any videos on it either.
Thanks.
Ha! The very next thing I tried worked.
One more question though, is there a way to generate a QR Code that will incorporate a company logo in the centre? eg.
As I understand it, error correction of the QR code makes it possible to embed a small image. My example is a test of the size and for this example it is the max size of an embedded image.
Ok, so how did you embed the image and can that process be automated using the Variable Text functionality?
i have made the qr code in LightBurn and put logo on top. Conversion to picture is not really necessary. How the process can be automated with variable text goes beyond my knowledge.
can you let us know how you got it to generate the QR code from csv please…thanks
From the ‘Tools’ menu, select ‘Create QR Code’, then drag out box for code to expose the edit window shown below.
You also need to tell LightBurn what CSV file using the ‘Variable Text’ window.
Here are the docs for ‘Variable Text’. Variable Text Basics - LightBurn Software Documentation
And the different formatting codes used for Variable Text in LightBurn. Variable Text Formats - LightBurn Software Documentation
What didn’t come obvious to me was to put “%#” (# being the row number) into the open field in the edit box. This isn’t mentioned in the documentation.
