Hey! new to lightburn here.
I’ve been making a few things and wanted to know if there’s a way to change the layer of an edge, or a way to select a single edge in the same way that the cutting tool is able to cut that edge.
I’m trying to change the red area to engraving while the black area is cutting, but the only way ive been able to change the layer of that part is to cut it out and redraw it.
you must divide your object into 2 layers with the respective cut or engrave properties.

so there’s no way to just select the edge without selecting the whole shape?
I’m not sure I understand you correctly, but if you want to engrave one part of the object and cut the rest, then they need to be separated into the 2 layers.
Duplicate your shape. Place the duplicate on a different layer. Open node editor. Insert a node at the intersection point on each end of the line. Delete everything you don’t want.
