Will there ever be a close button for a file?

?? What program has a CLOSE button?

Save your work and then open a new workspace window…or exit the program. No need for a Close file function.

Most standard Windows programs have a Close button. I actually like how LB does it with the New button. Works the same way as a Close button, but is at the top of the menu.

Well Look at that! I have never used CLOSE file before. My apologies. I have learned something new today. :smiley: After I click on SAVE or SAVE AS… I don’t worry about CLOSE.

A lot of people never use the close button, because you can accidentally close your file without saving.

The clever LB people have also thought of this possibility of error :wink:

It is not possible to exit LightBurn or start a new project without either saving or discarding the entire project.
