Hi I made a jig for 8 slate coasters. I’ve traced and feel that I have an adequate capture. When I query on time to print is says 5 plus hours - and I’'m perplexed as to how I can reduce these. I believe I’ve followed all the steps. I am very new to this so am feeling very intimidated. I am working from a MAC. Thunderbolt Laser Printer
You give us almost nothing to work with.
- Size of the coasters
- Image or vector (trace implies vector)
- What does your work look like, how much detail
- Can you show the image
- What are the speed and power settings
- Line, Fill, Offset Fill, Flood Fill
A 40 minute time per coaster may or may not be what you have to live with.
Without seeing your designs first we wouldn’t know what to recommend.
That being said you still may able to reduce your burn times using some optimization.

WOW 40 min. per coaster?? I would find something else to burn ![]()

Do you have a border design on the coasters that is using up time traversing back and forth.
I had an image with border to do and it quoted 7+ hours and most of that was border work ,I separated the four sides and set to engrave separatel…and it reduced the whole job time by over 50%.
Also, wider Line spacing and lowering dpi can add a little time saving, along with balancing an increased power and speed setting.
Is this an RF machine?
Sometimes a good idea to make a screenshot of only the engraving parameters and post here for us to evaluate.
